A6 All road 2009 - changing the headlamp bulbs
Hi all
My work colleague has an Audi A6 all road - hes brought it into work today asking if I can help him change the headlamp bulbs - he has no tools, has no clue on car's, and says it's a pig of a job to do, and you have to take the front of the car apart to get to it Anyone got one, and can shed a light (sorry no pun intended) Just so I can crack on and seem like I know what I'm doing!

Prepare yourself... A lot of the newer Audis require fairly invasive surgery for such items.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rwZoOc1ZANk https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CpM5OX0RKwA After watching those, you might want to suggest you've got a nasty rash, or contagious ailment and he best off soliciting someone else to help him....

And there was I thinking it can't be that hard.......
Thanks for that Ian. I think I'm developing a headache, sore throat..... might have to go home early, especially as hes just popped out and won't be back until the afternoon......

And we thought needing to remove the air filter to get at the offside headlamp was bad...

lol... It's quite telling when the edited highlights video of a professional attempting a headlight bulb change still lasts 22mins...

I was much impressed with removing wheel arch liners to replace the bulbs on my Mazda. They're all at it.

You need an E38 BMW - one self-tapper under the bonnet for each one of two
Oil filter is in a separate housing to the side of the engine and accessible from the top. I've always said that engine designers should be made to unscrew the filter over their living room carpets. (BMW 740i Sport is the other automotive love of my life! ) |
