CQ Exhaust hangers help
Anybody else ever have problems with the exhaust hanger rubbers on their CQ or Gt?
They never seem to last long before stretching and eventually braking. Anybody fashioned a better solution to holding the exhaust? Because the standard setup seems rubbish Also, I could do with a new set and a quick look on eBay and they seem stupidly expensive. Like £5 + each I sware they were less than a quid each last time I bought a set of 3. Am I looking in the wrong place? Where do you guys get yours? |

I used a setup of bobbin mounts and some narrow stainless straps. Works a treat, very strong. (bobbin mounts in shear rather than tension

Yes I know what you mean, I got a set rubber hangers with the bike chain in them from ebay,
not for sale now but they do work. |

I have a Scorpion exhaust on my Urq which always used to sit too low for my liking at the tailpipes.
Several years ago, I fitted a new (standard rubber) rear mount along with a large, stainless Jubilee clip around the circumference. Works a treat and you can tighten the clip to adjust the exhaust height. |
