Type 44 Audi 100 no instrument illumination
How do I find the earth point on the printed circuit of the instrument cluster so that I can trace the break in the circuit governing the instr. lighting?

I would have thought to find the earth, probe with an continuity meter all the tracks/connections and a good earth, with the battery disconnected.

Instr. Lighting
Good idea. I'll find out which is the -ve connection to the instr.dimmer. I can then feed 12v to the +ve and see if the dash lights work.Thanks.
