Hi guys, I am selling this car on the S2Forum, thanks to Coxy for posting pics and a thread up here. Please excuse this being my first thread, I'm usually on the S2Forum taling 300bhp and about The 'ring!

I bought this 90q with a friend back in April with the best of intentions, either restore it or 3b conversion but I'm now buying a flat and the co-owner is running 3 cars so unfortunately this has to go to a new home. It's in good condition, the interior is great, engine is sweet but the body has been patched by previous owners, looks ok when all shined up but needs a bit of TLC to be good once again. There is a repair on the driver's side A pillar that needs lookng at, other than that I can't say as it's under paint.

I've perfomed the Golf trick of drilling the K-jet airbox and it has a stainless exhaust so it sounds immense but just needs someone with the time to spend on a car of this age and rarity to sort the suspension and body work. The 90q drives great but does have a slight vibration which could be either a wheel out of balan ce of a CV joint but have never got round to fixing this.

I've loved driving it around, the 90q is so light and agile compared to the S2 and just highlights how quattro doesn't mean slow! It easily compares to a mk.2 8v Golf I had (funny that!) and apart from the first long-distance journey I did where it shredded a gearbox and I had to drive from Devon in 3rd... not fun with the short ratios, it' s always been faultless(!). Anyway, spent a month fitting a new 'box and repairing everything that had to come off, including the gear linkage that had caused the trouble in the first place.

If anyone's interested in looing at the car then please contact me at ardcasey@btopenworld.com and come and have a look.

Cheers,

Andy C
