yeah , i may be in the market , to replace my s4, dunno about the ecu, ive got a chipped 3.6 one,not 4.2

For Info if it helps

I don't know what the various ECU numbers are, but, an early V8 A6 ECU will do the job in a V8, however they are quite rare and NLA from Audi. US EBay is a good place to source both, in any case.

I've seen the V8 ECU used on the V8 A6 with no issues other than the immobiliser feature not being present. I'm assuming using the A6 ECU in the V8 would just require the immobiliser feature deleting.

Its 15 mins from where i live.Just spoken to him and arranged to have a look at it on Sunday morning.I would only buy it if it was dirt cheap for spares but i think it may fetch more than that so anyone wanting to know about it ask me.
