Bruce, if itís blowing the fuse straight away itís a wiring or power surge issue. If the motor was running constantly then blowing the fuse it would be a sign of a vacuum leak.

If the motor got soaked Iíd try drying it out and checking for shorting wires/ connections at that end first.

Hi gee,
It's got too hot here now so i will get the pump out a bit later, i assume the circuit is live all the time ? I don't understand electrics to be honest unless things get explained in the simplest of ways Should any of the plugs give a reading when not connected (including in the doors) ?

The pump is now out of the car, is there any way of seeing the motor ? all i can see is the pcb with the cover off.

In for a penny in for a pound I just pulled it all apart, what can i put power to the motor with to see if it runs ? the second pcb looks a bit grotty so it could be the pumps the problem.

Any help is much appreciated

You can always use a battery charger to provide a 12v supply
