Been there, knocked twice (nicely)
Their car is on the drive...... No reply.

Maybe later over the weekend, or next week.

Can't remember who said it, (apart from in a Guiness advert so it must be true!) but.....

Just come back from the house with the 80CL, spoke to a direct neighbour, seems the owner is a divorced animal welfare (cats) type who has a whole garage full of charity stuff.
Cars tax disc is '04, seems it never moved since then, has 75k on the clock, blue velour etc, carpets look average, bonet has some rust in the leading edge, and bootlid quite a bit on the trailing edge, about 1" tall rust in both cases, rear must be 20" wide rust, and front 8" , doors on drivers side seem OK, rust wise, glass all there, all 4 tyres perished and flat, rims look like 100 steel rims and surface rusted.
There is a HUGE black oil patch below the engine on the concrete drive. So maybe block did fracture or something like that.
Guess if she gets back to me, and I get to take it on, it will be towed here the 1/2 mile.

The neighbour says he seems to remember it was an MOT fail , and she decided the repair was not worth it, and bought the Volvo V70.
The numberplate is her initials.

Lets hope that she gets back to me with positive news.....

I may also have bagged a set of E21 wheels, in 13" configuration..... nothing wrong with preparing for stuff to happen.
