Indicators not working b3 coupe 20v q

just got a 2.3 20v coupe quattro 91 plate
hazards working fine , indicators not working at all , flasher unit under dash ok as hazzards work fuse under bonnet ok , changed the column switches but still nothing . this model has the hazzard on the column switches .
can anyone help .
