Ur quattro engine conversion WR to 3B/RR information required
Hi all, not posted for a while but the bug is back, I am looking for any information or possible pitfalls in converting from WR engine in one of my Ur quattro's to a 20v 3B engine from any early S2, the 3B and RR are very alike, If anyone could give any advice I would be very great full.
Thanks in advance. |

Isn't Tonks the expert on this (try S2 forum) ?
I have an RR engine and all the ancilaries/wiring including ECU sat in my garage for 11 years awaiting the same conversion sometime ! |

Upsides - performance, tuneability. Downsides - it won’t sound the same. My recommendation would be just get it in and running right. Worry about any performance upgrades later. The reason is, you can chase your tail fault finding and setting it up with hybrid turbos and remapping. Do that when you know the patient has accepted the organ.

Isimmo, thanks for the advice but I would not be doing any silly stuff with the engine, I do have another Ur on the road just now and had it for many years, I do like the way is sounds but now getting on in years now myself and looking for a Ur quattro looks the part and starts and drives closer to a normal car.
