Default Don't move to Southampton if you like your sanity

Today it took me 70 minutes to drive the 5 miles I would usually cycle in less than 20. Yesterday it took 55 minutes.

Twice I drove in last week too, one day took 20 minutes and the other took 2 hours. All occasions I left at the same time and went the same route.

I've lived in 8 different cities around the UK including London and I have to say that the traffic around these parts are the worst I've ever encountered. Avoid if possible.

I shall be back on my bike tomorrow, infinitely less stress even with snotcicles!

Rant over!

Dunno if it's a south coast thing but last time we were at the dragon-in-law's it took us over an hour and a half to drive from seaford to brighton, only about 12 fwkn miles!!! Couldn't beleive it! 10 minutes up here on backroads. The M25 is quieter than those roads.

and think how many calories you could have burnt off on that bike instead of burning off fumes into the atmosphere!

mind you, there comes a time when you simply can't beat an old audi over an old bike!

No, no Davey,

if you want to experience real city insanity and "How to ruin a city in 10 short years by a council" try Edinburgh. The council are candidates for Muppets of the year award.
