It's not only this forum of course - lots of car forums are struggling with the same issues. In my various Vauxhall clubs we try to migrate people from the FB groups to the proper forum, but it's difficult. Sometimes it's just because it's more complex to post photos, sometimes people just like a bigger audience - it's easy to post on FB and then share it into multiple groups (sometimes too easy as it leads to me seeing the same thing over and over) compared to signing up for multiple forums and posting separately on all of them. We've found lots of previous owners of cars (and some with some lovely old photos of them) that we probably wouldn't have found without FB. |

I'm sure one or two will be spitting feathers, good man! I remember your leaving post of a few weeks back, made all the more poignant especially as it sounded like the current circumstances many of us find ourselves in had come to bare for you. Sad also it generated only 4 responses, from Issimo Duffy, Geoff (black -Ur quattro) and myself. Anyway Jake, great the car sold for good money and maybe another Poldark series could beckon for you. Jeez we could all do with some good news! |
