Yes, Having the fixed reference gives a fantastic sense of speed.
The Photo recon (with invasion stripes) colours make it look something else!

Hi Mark, gents
as mentioned on the other thread I will stick some pics up of the planes at the Goodwood Revival, most not taken by me but being a car and vintage plane closet I just collect stuff of the event to look at and just for memories of a great weekend. Some great pics on here, I will try and keep the standard up. This is for Mark as a taster of the event, not my vid but some good stuff to give you an idea, the first few stills in it are of the Concourse aeroplane show held at the event, all able to walk around, get right up next to, take pics with, no fences, very accessible, I mean a concourse car show is one thing but who has a concourse aeroplane show in their back garden https://youtu.be/onKXcT3RYVk |

Not flying over today but a couple of weeks ago.
1X merlin. Could tell the sound immediately, scampered off out the back and a solitary spitfire went bombing over at low level, what a great sight and sound. Then an hour or so later an even louder set of merlins.....a Lancaster bomber at low level, sounds so much nicer than any of todays planes and it was going at some speed too. Nearly broke my neck trying to get outside to see it. Great planes, love em! |
