Default Headliner remove and refit

Has anyone removed the headliner from an 80 TYPE 81? as i have to remove mine to do some work on the roof, and then refit it

wot sort of job is it? are they glued on and do you have to remove all the windows

If they are the same as the typ 85 they are not glued on but you do need to remove the handle pulls (2 screws on either side IIRC) and they are on poppers so be gentle.......do you have a sunroof?

no sun roof, did remove door seal the end seam to be glued under the rubber (bummer)

Hmmm it is glued on by the doors if you go gently you can prise it off with a small screw driver...........dont rush it or you will rip it Thats why I asked if you had a sunroof cos it is glued on there as well but the actual roof isnt glued just held by poppers
