Just noticed the name on the 90's reg plate.. Lawson Cars from Middlesbrough. They are 5mins from me and used to deal with VAG only. A joint run business between two good friends and Johns two sons. Still trading today, sadly John the father passed away around 5 years ago. Leaving George the business partner that, devastated he can no longer work in the place. I've known them for roughly 20 years or so. All of them true gentleman.
I bought my first of my 5 80's, Bamboo Metallic 1.8E Series 3 from them back in 1997, they were a pleasure to deal with.

has that Red 90 had B4 avant rear outer lenses fitted ? The rear reflector seems narrower and not lined up with them

Ian's car does have red lenses, and it looks nice for it!
Quite fancy red one's for my car but think the coupe ones are megabucks?

It's a pity it's not in focus!
I like this one of the N/S/F with the bonnet open and folks legs.......you get the idea of what the day was about.

Enjoyed the pictures, John. Really enjoyed first car day out in ages. Thanks to Craig and yourself for guiding me round. Must get coupe painted now, all the shiny cars embarrassed me!
