is there an "idiots guide" to posting a picture thread anyone can point me at please

Upload images to imageshack, then you'll have an address for the direct link

Then click the little picture button on (looks like 2 mountains and a small sun...) and enter the address in there (basically it puts [img] [/img] outside of the URL)

Hopefully helps a bit!

as i have been a member for 5 years i dont actually look in the newbie section very often
and as usual on here when you ask an innocent question someone is always ready to condemn you

It was moved to the newbies section because nobody could find it in its previous location; the gallery section.

Maybe it needs a new title? It can be renamed if needed. I'm just surprised that no one knows it exists, and yet it's frequently asked about.

We used to be able to post photos directly on to CA...... Were things changed due to a security issue?

I think it was to do with storage space/bandwidth on the server. We also lost the very useful ability to embed Youtube vids at the same time, although it doesn't use any space or bandwidth
