Default urq does well at Alcan 5000 Winter Rally 2016

Audri our 1982 WX powered modified urq successfully completed the 2016 Alcan 5000 Winter Rally from Seattle, Washington to Anchorage Alaska via Yellowknife, Whitehorse, and Fairbanks recently. 4600 +/- miles over 9 long days in temperatures as low as -40C.

She finished 1st in Vintage class (pre-1986) and 5th overall (out of 26 starters) just missing out on a podium position but beating a lot of modern day cars, SUV's and trucks.
It was the first time a vintage car has competed and completed the winter event (held every 4 years since 1988). Audri won Vintage class in the Summer event in 2014. Doing what she was designed for.

The 1980's quattro technology is still as valid today as it was in its heyday. Enjoy your urq.

Check Facebook pages " Alcan 5000" or "Alcan Audi" for a description of our run.

Cheers
