Well done Dave.

I know it’s got cat C Dave, but that’s a stonkingly low price for a runner, and coming from an owners club member too! It doesn’t look like it needs much!

I saw that too, thought it looked a really good buy.
Keen to hear more about it (with pics of course).

Well done, you must have been smart off the mark to nab that one

So I flew from Cardiff to Glasgow this morning and collected the car from the very kind owner who met me at the airport. I left Glasgow at 1pm and just arrived home in west Wales now.
The car wasn't such a bargain and needs quite a few things sorting. You can never see these in pictures but I certainly wasn't going to turn my back on it. The car is very lumpy at idle and low revs but goes nicely once on the move and certainly hasn't lost any of its go! It smells very rich.
One bonus is a full miltech exhaust. Sounds lovely.
I stopped just south of Aberystwyth as the sun was going down over Cardigan bay and took a couple of pics.

Immediate plans will be to give her a good service and thorough going over. I noticed a few issues when I collected the car like oil leak from rocket cover, old and oily antifreeze!
I hope to enjoy the car for a few months over the summer, then it will be going into my workshop for a full strip down and renovation. Hopefully respray this time next year but these projects do seem to drag!
