Default Electrical help please

Hi guys.

I bought my 97 cabby in November and put in storage until the sun arrives. I have discovered
that the dash lights, back number plate lights and the glove compartment lights don't work.
I have changed the fuse as they are all on the same one still no joy.
Someone has had a go at it because the glove light has been disconected and the
sound proofing has been taken off the boot lid.
Any one have any ideas before i take it to the auto sparky?
Many thanks.

Wiring diagram might be your friend here, presumably they all share the same source of power.........I'm thinking light switch or wiring from the light switch?

Would a diagnostic machine hook up tell me more accurately, assuming one could be used on
this age car?

Diagnostics only work on the engine and ABS at that age.

This is the circuit for the glovebox light

Grey / green wire goes more or less direct to fuse 14.

Does your car have autocheck ? If it does, it will also go to T26 pin 1 for the dash cluster. T26 is yellow.

From there it goes to E20 which is the dash dimmer

Hello Stranger

Good to hear from you again - off topic but have you still got your GT?

Hello Minty.
All ways loitering around here most days.
Thanks for asking about the GT, sad news a petrol pipe came off during a run, went
all over the hot manifold and up it went. I had that car for 30 years
Now have my second favorite car. Hope the pictures work.
Need some sun now i'm itching to get it out the garage.
Cheers.

Disaster Alan. There was a thread on here some months ago referring to a Copart advert with pics of a burnt out silver GT, giving a Norfolk location iirc - really sorry to hear it was yours.

The Cabby looks good and a worthy replacement. Originally a north Wales car so local to me going by the plate. Good luck with it

Don't know if that was the same one. This is the newspapper cutting of my disaster in Cambridge
about 1 mile from where i live.
Looking foward to one of my regular visits to Liverpool to visit the inlaws with the cabby.GT.jpg

Does the side marker lights, or whatever they're called in british english, both front and rear, work?
