Default Removing door cards type 44

Does anyone know how to remove the rear door cards on type 44 200 properly? (without damaging the panel) The issue I have is that there is a fixing screw hidden behind the recess for the inside door handle. There doesn't seem to be any way to pull this recessed plastic part out to get at the screw behind. I got one card off my donor car but broke the plastic around the middle fixing while doing it. Anyone have any good ideas?
Cheers Andy

I think this is correct

Pull the release handle as if opening the door.
There is a pozi-head (cross head) screw hidden behind the handle at the pivot end, which is only visible with the handle pulled.
Now the whole handle and plastic surround comes free.
The bracket behind is then revealed....

I'll take a closer look tomorrow

yep, same as mine. you have to put the screwdriver in 'at an angle' i think, not at right angles to the door. getting the screw lined up with its 'hole' on the way back in is a bitch sometimes.. a magnetic screwdriver would be good for that.

i think the whole handle and 'backing' slides forward (??) once the screw is out then comes out. well it slides one way or the other!

What I was missing was prising the plastic part out from the front it is a bit brutal but at least i can get the door panels of without busting them!
