Audi S6 Quattro Avant for sale
Due to impending marriage commitments the time has come to let the S6 go. I purchased the car in April this year and have recently undertaken expensive maintenance to make sure the car is mechanically excellent. The work detailed timing belt, all tensioners/dampers, water pump, track rod and driveshaft, fuel line fix, cam cover gasket, new radiator, auto box fluid and 4 wheel alignment - totalling £1400 approx. I had the work carried out in Poole at Kartechnic (Audi & Porsche specialist). The odometer currently reads just over 71K miles and the car is currently sorn. The car is in exceptional condition inside and out. The alcantara seats and all control services show minimal if no wear and the exterior paint condition is excellent with minimal swirling or imperfections.
It has electric heated seats with climate AND SUNROOF. Things I would do to make the car pretty much perfect are as follows; replace bulb on gear select readout, wheel refurbishment X 4, new wheel centres, new front discs, new exhaust heat shields, investigate why air-con is no longer as cold as it was and find some rear head rests (they were not with the car when I bought it). The service history is excellent with all services being main dealer apart from the work I have just had done (there is no actual service book but all services are detailed in a print out from Audi). I've made it sound like there are more minus than plus points but I am extremely fussy with my vehicles and I just want to give an accurate appraisal of the car so that anyone interested will not have any surprises. This car was going to be a keeper for me and I was really looking forward to getting to some of the shows in 2010 and meeting some of the folks from this forum but this is now not going to be. I've put the car on carandclassic at £4995 but I would be very open to an offer as I need to sell the car relatively quickly. |

Nice car you got there but I would say a tad ambitious with the price. Good luck.

Yeah I know you are probably right, I suppose when I put it up on c&c I fell into the trap of selling it at what it is worth to me as it is so nice - as in the ad I am willing to talk offers though.

keep it if you wanted it as a keeper... looks nice example with what must be lower mileage than most!! welcome to thre forum by the way and good luck with the wedding plans.... BUT you wont get £5k for an S6 these days, you could get an S8 for less than that... If YOU DO I'll eat my hat. I had an S4 and that went for peanuts because no one wants them... except for engine donors

very underrated cars especially when you compare them to an S2 avant.
Values are hard to put on cars like this especially in this current climate. Cars like this will only end up with an enthusiast/collector especially given the low mileage, but they don't have the appeal of the small S2 for some reason. I'm sure there day will come though! |
