![]() Hi,
Having a bit of bad luck sourcing the right radiator. Ones that are supposed to fit my car (from Valeo and Nissens) have had hose connections in different places and didn't fit. There seem to be so many variations. Has anyone got a new / unused radiator for sale to fit a 90 20v, or a recommendation for one and where to go? Would prefer one with a thicker core, i.e. 40mm+. Don't mind whether it has aux rad outlet or not. Bleed valve on top would be a bonus. Thanks, James |

![]() If money isn't an object, Vidar at Norwegian Audi Parts will make you an alloy one. He made a really nice one for my Ur. Search for him on Facebook.

![]() Vidars rads are actually really good value IMO...
Though if you want OE get a Behr, simple, they're the best quality by a mile.

![]() Yes, I've been having a good look around and the manufacturers appear to only offer the 'standard quality' (cheap radiators) with 34mm core depth.
Hella Behr do premium variants, 40mm core depth 8MK 376 711-271 (without aux connection) and 8MK 376 711-281 (with aux connection) but I can't find them in stock anywhere. I can't see that Nissens do a thicker one. Valeo do but it's out of stock everywhere. Mahle's offerings are 34mm. Their website doesn't offer the premium line option. AVA Cooling used to do AI2038 and AI2040 premium offerings with 42mm core depth which - according to their website - have become obsolete and replaced with AIA2038 and AIA2040, both 34mm core. I'm going to make some further enquiries next week. It's an issue as I cant see the thinner rads providing the same cooling ability. There's always the custom aluminium offering mentioned above. I'm going to try the longer 10v hose, 034121101. Just got to source one first! Not so straightforward. |

![]() Yeah I know getting a new Behr can be hard...
Just a heads up... There's a member called Chris on the S2Forum selling what he describes as a very clean radiator, it's second hand but could well be a decent Behr. ![]()

![]() Thanks Kit. Looks promising. I've registered on the S2 forum so hopefully will be authorised to post soon
![]() Called Audi dealer this morning out of curiosity. Can confirm that radiators 893 121 251 F and G (for aux rad connection) are no longer available. Same for upper hose from 2.3E 10v p/n 034 121 101. Last edited by Obli; 22-06-22 at 12:43 PM. |
