Exclamation Hand brake gone!

Quick question - the hand brake has just gone in my 80 GL, I assume it's the cable but haven't been able to check yet.

Where's the best place to get another one and how much work is required?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I've just bought the one in the first link. Hopefully shouldn't be too hard to fit!

Supports or drums? If drums, does rear brakes?

Something snapped when I put on the handbrake after arriving home from work! The handbrake had totally gone after that.

I initially thought it was the lever but after further investigation (under the leather hood) I found that the lever and ratchet were fine, they just weren't doing anything.

Khm?

It has drums at the rear. I've not driven it since it happened but the brake pedal is still working.

Nice answer to last question

Both in one time? The only thing shared there [at last on B3, on B2, I think, must be the same] is one piece of metal, which holds both cables. Get under your car and chech tension of both cables, when u will see, which one is failed. To replace cable, must remove wheel and drum, disconnect there cable...
