Price is probably something to do with the the inclusion of a log book with the BB49 body no prefix? I believe this was a Halewood built 'Twin Cam' saloon.

And probably worth upwards of £150,000 when straightened out, repainted and with running gear fitted. Mk 1's go for silly money in the Historic Rally world.

The 4 reasons fords are stupidly priced...
1. The belief its a British company (Il admit the Cortina was a very English car) 2. You will never convince the true Ford fan, that something else is better than a Ford 3. Supply and demand (Plenty of delusional fans out there that want them and most have rusted away to bad build quality=fewer good ones to go round, so people have to pay for them) 4. The old adage "The fool and his money are soon parted" |
