v6 and 5cylinder quattro gearboxes

a friend has just bought a 90 20v quattro and it needs a gearbox as 3rd keeps popping out. i have a gearbox spare but not sure what its out of (came with other bits and i've yet to check the code) but just incase it was from a v6 coupe quattro.. are the diff ratios the same? the car was bought just to use when it snows so gear ratios aren't really a concern

Your gearbox must be CBR, CUX or CPN and matching rear diff will be CAU.
