Gear linkage repair kit? (B2 FWD, 2.0 JS engine)
Does such a thing exist? My gears seem a bit woolly, and the H pattern is a bit skewed, more like a W pattern, especially 1st-2nd. Sometimes 3rd doesn't fully engage and it jumps out again. Pretty sure it's not a gearbox fault as when I'm 'sure' it's in 3rd properly I don't have any problems.
If anyone has any advice on where to acquire a rebuild kit or a tune-up on the current linkage I'd appreciate it. |

Anyone? I've changed the oil and it seems a bit more willing to go into gears now. I'm wondering about the plastic ball/socket arrangement under the gearstick, there seems to be a bit of play in it (not a lot) but think replacing this might help.

Bit of an update!
Linkage was just badly aligned and clamped wrong. Sorted the clamp out, realigned underneath, then realigned in the car, and it's all good now. |
