so still searching, even rolling shell..
Spinks was an ideal project.. Are you looking for an immaculate project?

A shell will cost you around 3k+ and thats if anyone is willing to part their car out.

Sorry if I sound harsh

I never saw the car as i am not interested in one as they are way out of my price league, meaning the total spend needed on top of sourcing one, but Spinks Ur seemed like a really good deal at his price.
I guess you know best as you saw it.

I'm gonna second this, only if you're really lucky will £6k buy you a ur with an MOT and if it's not got an mot then it's got problems, like practically all of them have.

Like Taff i don't want to sound harsh but you may need to lower your standards if you want to buy a ur for under £6k.

A fellow ur owner and myself saw one a few weeks ago. Structurally solid, with mot, everything worked save for synthesiser but needed two wings, the whole a pillar and sunroof surround sorting out due to rust and a full respray and it went for £6k, but would have been a lot more if the guy knew what we saw of the car, had explained that it had been dialynx'd and had put decent photo's on.

maybe my expectations were too big I'm on the beginning of the search

I know that best option (and cheaper at the end) is find spotless car ready for show

but how can I miss whole fun with restoration?

so I hope some day I can find the right car with my budget
