soon after I bought it, my 80 sport engines started to get low on compression. So i pulled the lump out of the quattro and put it in my sport.

But the engine is shite, the original one I had was smoother the engine out of this quattro runs and sounds like a bag of spanners. it might be 51k but the engine wasn't looked after.

I am so dissapointed, that I am considering doing a 1.8t swap in the sport now as well.
meanwhile theres a 1.8t engine being rebuilt to go into the quattro, so hopefully can get it ready by the summer

Good stuff!! Its not going to be scrapped then!!

Bit of bad luck there on the engine front!!!

and heres me asking to spend £3k on a 80 Quattro and get a load of sarcastic answers they deserve to rot if that's the vest you can do
got shot down in flames saying they were never gunna be under £3k keep em boys keep em
I would have looked after o ne and showed it at car shows

you will not pick up an 80quattro in the condition you want for the budget your looking to spend, that has already been pointed out! They dont come on the markeyt too often to be fussy like that on condition , they do mostly change hands among Audi folk though when theyarre sold

So is it an 80 or 90,sport or quattro?Which ever it is they are thin on the ground.
