Default Which other Recaros leather will fit my B4?

Yo!

Im aware that I can swap runners etc but my question is which seats from say a TT will fit my 94 Coupe?

Ideally Im after Black Leather, heated not so fussed, electric is good though.

Can anyone shed any light for the Groom??

mk3 golf recaros share a similar subframe to the b4, only one of the legs needs modding slightly. Other than that there arent any direct fit replacements other than going for an aftermarket pair and matching subframes. Having said that, source an old pair of b4 seats you can use the bases from and someone handy with a welder and bobs your fannys aunt etc etc. Ford recaros are very common and quite close to the rs2 recaros.
Or how about something different? im using a pair of porsche seats in the cab and theyre readily available

Greetings the Gavster!!

Yknow, its funny you should mention Porker,as after hours of searching last night,I found a pair of Porsche seats.Alas,I'd have a problem with them matching in which I hadnt thought of before. You know how my cars baby vomit green?? This interior was 70s sofa yellow,a kinda nicotine stained pub ceiling shade.Loooooovely!

Which Porsche model did you mean firstly...
I did like the 944 seats in my 86 Lux Auto.Im hoping its not the seat itself which gives the classic 944 backache.Probably is!

I concluded to see if I could find the heavier side bolstered 944 Turbo fronts. Not sure what I'd do about trimming as yet.Theres a trimmer who lives locally to us,but I wouldnt piss on him if he were on fire.....

Thx for suggestions. Some Cossie ones would sure be easier to find huh.Bay of E here I come!

Nice one!

Steve

Evening, its the deep bolstered 944/911 turbo seats im putting in the cab. Dont let the colour put you off, as long as its leather you can dye it to match your interior. Peice of proverbial if your going for black.
Take your time with the the dye kits and youll be hard pushed to tell its been done. We redyed the cream leather recaros in my wifes rado vr and theyre look bob on. Also just changed the colour of the porker seats for the cab and filled some of the cracks whilst i was at it.

aye thats me
The grey ones were sold on so had to source another set for the new cab. Could only find a dark metallic blue set and i dont like the stock audi ecru beige so in the prcoess of dying it the same colour as my wifes rado leather. Its more of a creamy buttery colour. Ill stick some pics up hen i get a chance

we got a bit of a bargain with the blue ones,Theres load of the tombstone type available without the deep bolsters. But im fussy as hell and wanted the deep bolster ones. They were £250, and that included the rear porker seats too.. Considering we sold my last ones that needed 2 bolsters repaired for the same money im pretty chuffed. My wife found a porker breakers in manchetser that was very helpful with pics etc and they quoted 350 upwards fro some very good condition. They had a few different ones available.

Was this breakers called Franklinhill by any chance?

I was guessing it might be Douglas Valley otherwise..

Id use Prestige Salvage but can be too pricey..
