E10 is on the way!!!!!!
Looks like the buggers are only going to guarantee E5 fuel availability until 2020.
https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/...ntroduced.html No regard to classic owners and the vast evidence E10 FUEL IS CRAP! MORE RAIN FOREST HAS TO BE CUT DOWN TO GROW THE CROPS TO MAKE ETHANOL AND ITS 2-3% LESS FUEL EFFICIENT, SO YOU END UP USING MORE OF IT, SO YOU will NEED MORE CROPS!!!!.... Not to mention the damage it can do to your car by just leaving it too long in the tank etc etc. The research I've done suggests most Audis made since 1986 should be OK with E10, but Audi UK don't know anything. Looks like the government is chasing CO2 targets at the expense of common sense again, like the decision to promote diesel despite the science of its environmental hazards. My next door neighbour (widowed pensioner) is now worried sick whether she will be able to carry on using 2001 Corsa. Can't afford to replace it. Came knocking on my door when she read about this somewhere. We just keep getting hammered by stupid decisions, regardless of who is in charge. All of this started thanks to the EU, but I doubt Brexit will usher in common sense |

All part of the drive(no pun) to get us out of our cars, promote "clean" ho ho electric vehicles and shove us all back into the dark ages via the policies of green marxism.

I like to think E10 will be sold alongside the other options that I used in mine whilst in Germany -100 octane V power and even some 102 octane race fuel. Mine went like stink on that stuff But unfortunately we have worse ill informed numpties in power than pretty much anywhere else

I mistakenly put the stuff in the coupe in Germany and it didn't like it one bit, hesitated and felt flat. That was in Germany where they sold all sorts unleaded, super unleaded E5 E10 and 100+ octane stuff, what would happen here is the forecourts will exchange super unleaded for E10
Do you know you can still get leaded petrol in there's a website for it. http://www.petroldirect.com/petrol.htm |

Watched Mediterranean with Simon Reeve on BBC2 last night and was surprised to see you can apparently fill your tank up on Unleaded for less than £2 in Libya That's in a war zone!
Anyone been to the Caribbean recently? On the island of Trinidad they've just put up the price of Super Unleaded to the equivalent of 50p/litre....A litre of Rum Punch cost about £5! |
