Default Storm talk

Bets on the total destruction of the UK then?

I love a good storm, and listening to it try to rip my roof off, happens most winters, this looks a good one, potentially still a hurricane as it hits the south of Ireland on the NOAA model. That's unusual. Love watching the sea eat my village, great fun to watch, but hope everyone survives unscathed, and property too. Will be nasty with the leaves still on the trees.

I'm expecting a nice stiff breeze here in London, with massive delays on the trains because of leaves on the tracks and the odd wheelie bin being toppled over. I love a good storm myself, and I miss being in Ireland for that reason, being tucked away in the south east means we miss all the drama. It looks like the west of Ireland is going to get a wallop though, and as you say it's unusual to get such hurricane strenght winds. Despite my sarcasm though I hope those who get the hit here or at home don't suffer too much damage or injuries. Be safe people.

Sunny day in Cornwall at the moment... am hoping you all get off lightly.. and that it misses us. If it doesn't then we'll be off to Sennen Cove to storm watch as per usual.

Message to all you doom and gloomers, this could be the end as we know it, I'm in the garage
working on the B2 coupe Gt and thinking this would be a good way to go apart from driving it.

I bought a new chainsaw. Going to make a fortune out of this probably, rescuing trapped 'lifestyle immigrants' for a ransome.

Safety update - doom and gloom maybe but it's projected to hit as a hurricane, and it's drifting east of the models, which means it might go up the irish sea, as a hurricane -

Hope not, but be safe wherever you are. If I lived in the Bristol channel I'd be going to visit someone on high ground.

Spoke to soon about Cornwall. Weather's closing in and wind speeds gone up on the Atlantic coast. Impressive waves though. (He says from the safety of high ground).

Hopefully it will dissipate but if not, batten down the hatches, protect those things dear to you and stay safe everyone.

Dead still here, creepy. I'm going out with a video device tomorrow, the waves will be awesome. Spent the day guessing which bits of junk in the garden will be thrown through my cars. Boxed all of the audis in with crappy vans!
