That was the first thing I thought, funnily enough. They are lovely things when all is working as it should. I never liked the later shape A8 (D3) as much, and my mate has the current shape A8 on a 61 plate which is lovely to go in, but really does look like a big A4.
I do love the early S8 in Racing Green like this, though.
