Make a steel hook from some hefty wire like welding wire.
Get an assistant to push down on the top corners one at a time to release the seat upright from its locked position whilst using the hook to clear the wire loops that hold the upright in situ by pulling them clear towards the rear of the car. Its a kind of down and to the rear movement youll need to make with the seat to get it to free.
Ass oon as the loop is clear of the pressed barb on the body your assistant needs to release the seat upwards, then repeat on other side.

Once youve done this job once it becomes a cinch next time around.

and you have to take out the glove box and the under tray on the drivers side to get to the speaker screws.

That all sounds very technical! I just lift seat from the bottom, pushing it inward as I lift: tackling one side at a time. Out they come no bother . Must admit first time on doing one there were a few probs - those wire hooks are so bloody long.

just a quick question in relation to type85 80s rear seats, is it a big job to fit the rears from a coupe with the built in head rests?

I would say theyd probably slot straight in.
I cant see there being much in the way of major differences with the mounting arrangement as the chassis/floorpans are most all identical ( apart from 4wd stuff).
Give it try and see what happens.
