Thanks for that Tim and Karl... and you too Paddy.
48... I fell like I'm 78 this morning but I'll continue to act like I'm 18 until the body cries "no more!" Don't know what the family has planned yet and I've not opened any gifts but I do know of one and that's a 10,000 RPM VDO 4" black faced tacho removed from a quattro rally car that Todd picked up and it is winging it's way over here. IE: period correct for my Replica... WHOO HOO! EDIT: maybe all recreations should simply have a Honda Type R badge fitted |

Ooh ooh... pressies opened... 100ml EDT of Christian Dior Fahrenheit, a big bottle of my favourite Belgian orange marmalade (Vallče) and lunch at my favourite Italian restaurant before going clothes shopping for me, including some new UK-made 8053 Doc Martens (my favourites). We have an understanding when it comes to buying each other clothes or shoes and that's that we can't have surprises. I love clothes shopping anyway... she doesn't.
Wife is also claiming the Sparco Pro 2000 race seats I bought a couple of weeks ago are part of the birthday booty... I do remember saying to her "look what you bought me for my birthday" to deflect the flack so I only have myself to blame there It's all good EDIT: did you know that UK-made Docs are as rare as rocking horse droppings here now. They're all made in Taiwan/China and they are really not the same any more, except for the price! I did find a store that has my preferred ones and they have two pairs in my size... I think I'll get both, just in case, but they are bloody expensive |
