Don't know what the family has planned yet and I've not opened any gifts but I do know of one and that's a 10,000 RPM VDO 4" black faced tacho removed from a quattro rally car that Todd picked up and it is winging it's way over here. IE: period correct for my Replica... WHOO HOO!

EDIT: maybe all recreations should simply have a Honda Type R badge fitted

Ooh ooh... pressies opened... 100ml EDT of Christian Dior Fahrenheit, a big bottle of my favourite Belgian orange marmalade (Vallèe) and lunch at my favourite Italian restaurant before going clothes shopping for me, including some new UK-made 8053 Doc Martens (my favourites). We have an understanding when it comes to buying each other clothes or shoes and that's that we can't have surprises. I love clothes shopping anyway... she doesn't.

Wife is also claiming the Sparco Pro 2000 race seats I bought a couple of weeks ago are part of the birthday booty... I do remember saying to her "look what you bought me for my birthday" to deflect the flack so I only have myself to blame there

EDIT: did you know that UK-made Docs are as rare as rocking horse droppings here now. They're all made in Taiwan/China and they are really not the same any more, except for the price! I did find a store that has my preferred ones and they have two pairs in my size... I think I'll get both, just in case, but they are bloody expensive
