Default Audi 100 Central locking

I guess this is the right section as its not electrical or exterior.

Basically the central locking to the boot has stopped working, ive had a look all around the boot, taken off the black plastic panel but cant seem to find an obvious fault.

Could anyone tell me the best thing to do before i start dismantling the whole thing.

Cheers

Are you hearing any strange noises as the CL tries to work?

I assume the doors are operating as they should and if you are hearing no strange noises when you activate the system I would assume you may have an air leak somewher, as the C3 has a pneumatic system for the central locking.

If you were hearing funny noises, I'd suggest checking the CL pump, usually located under the rear passenger seats or in a corner of the boot.

No strange noises, the 4 doors are fine, its just the boot that wont operate with the central locking, works with the key.

How do i go about sorting this dude, will it be fairly straight forward?

cheers

I've no experience with saloons, but I guess you will have to strip down the relevant bits of your interior and check what condition the connections/pipes are in, from the boot back to the pump. Put an hour or so aside for this.

If you find no air leak, all I can suggest is a faulty component at the boot end.

be absolutely sure the pump us pumping to the boot, and not just the doors. My pump was the culprit on the day and I was lucky enough to find a spare at the scrappy. That was 10 years ago!

Regarding your post about suspension pressure spheres, they are found on Avants only.
Count your blessings....................................:wall :
