I’m getting 2 sets made, one in black for my 90 and a grey set for the Coupe, since they’ll have a pattern in stock you can order whenever suits.

Making slow progress with this.
Main issue at the moment is recreationting the eyelet/retaining holes. Doing what Audi have done is difficult as the reinforcing rings are not available. Ive found this https://www.jclarkemarine.com/produc...and-screw-stud which would work albeit we'd have to cut the cross in the carpet and then place the rings ourselves. Everybody else happy enough with that as a solution? |

Mats arrived.
Quality/thickness similar to original, fit completely as original (I've matched them to both my 90 and Coupe mats (both OEM) and tried them in both cars) They come with 4 rings, I just put some paint (you could use chalk) on top of the carpet posts, put the mats on top and cut a 1cm cross with a Stanley knife on that spot, they push straight on. I pushed the rings through around that spot and Bob's your Uncle, Fanny's your Auntie etc etc. There's a much thicker option that's circa £15 more. £65 delivered for these, they hold the pattern in their database now. |

They look very good Duffy, thanks for getting the pattern sorted. I'll be ordering a set in grey.
By the by, does anyone have an orange carpet stud knocking around that they don't need? For some reason my car has always had the passenger one by the tunnel missing. |

Thanks Duffy, but they are orange painted cross-head screws that bolt through a black painted metal sleeve into a boss sewn into the base carpet.
I have always bought cheap "generic" mats in the past and to my shame, I have never until now investigated properly and I have found that it is merely a 6mm panhead setscrew that is missing - easily available anywhere. DOHHHHHH |
