you can apply wax either with a foam applicator pad (Halfords sell them at 2 for £3.99 and they're yellow and about the size of a small fat beefburger!! Or if it's a soft wax, you can also apply it by hand. Get a pea sized amount, scoppit into the palm of your hand and rub yer palms together to warm the wax up then spread thinly and evenly over the paint. Doesn't need to be left on for more that 5-10 minutes. Put it this wax, if your waxing a car, by the time you've gone all the ay around, it's time to start to buff off! Just make sure you use a different microfibre cloth to buff off with. |

I found a very good guide to detailing and polishing (how to wash your car, for example - I thought I was doing it right, but obviously not!)

escape whilst you can, it can seriously hurt your wallet!!!
on the other hand, you can easily make it pay for itself! Especially in resale value or saleability. I had 3 cars I needed to sell earlier this year and all 3 had had the treatment and all 3 sold to the first people to view. I put it down to the presentation. They were 20 year old cars that looked almost new thanks to a few hours with a porter cable, some polishes and some waxes! |

Basically, it's about 10-15 times easier to use a pc than to do it by hand! |
