I went a few years ago over easter, We were staying in Munich and caught the train to Ingolstadt (about 30 minutes) and then caught a taxi to the museum.
You pay on entry for the museum and it is only a few Euro's to get in (no need to book). You may need to book if you want to go on a factory tour though. Well worth it and you can make a full day of it and eat at the cafe or restaurant. Also take money for buying a few souvenirs!! |

not sure on that to be honest as we'd gone on the Easter Sunday and that wasn't an option that day so never looked in to it.

You'll find most information here....
http://www.audi-me.com/me/brand/en/e...ngolstadt.html There's a download under the Discovery Tours section. I've only done the tours as part of a pre-organised group so don't know if you definitely need to book as an individual, but I would think it advisable, especially to arrange to be on an English speaking one. If I recall correctly, they don't have tours at the weekend. As Al says, the cafe is excellent.
