Alice's power steering pump
So it's a grovelling apology for:
1) taking so long to post again and 2) if I've posted in the wrong section. Our beloved Alice ( '98 1.8 cab 72,965 miles) has had a weeping pump for a while which in July became a full blown leak issue. Despite valiant efforts of fellow members trying to assist I couldn't source a replacement. Harrogate Audi said £1200 for one on back order which wasn't realistic. In the end took the pump to Steering Specialists in Horbury nr Wakefield. I have no affiliation whatsoever with them; they were a fantastic help. I dropped it off on the Monday morning, they said they'd need to order the seal kit and it would be ready for Thursday morning. It was and given a nice tidy repaint. It came with an 18 month warranty and now works perfectly. Cost was £110 so we're having a happy roof down summer ( when it's not raining ) |
