Look at the first page of this thread:
http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/...ad.php?t=32719
where you can see the before and after of the driver's bolster. As you know, I now own this car and can vouch that it is a bloody good job - you'd never know it had been replaced and I'd imagine black is easier to match.
Thanks for that info much appreciated.

I might go down that route for the rear bench as it's only on a small area but the door card is also slightly damaged/small tear over and above the marking and the front seat will need too much doing to it, 3 panels would need changing and it still won't be as comfortable as a hardly sat it in passenger one. I'm hopping a nice passenger seat turns up and drivers door card.

Cheers

I've got a feeling your friends seats are like these, are they ?

I need the seats with the more pronounced side bolster on the seat back the final editions got.

Ive spoken with Mikes friend and unfortunately his car is a N reg and mines a 99 final edition with the bigger side bolster so the front seat that was on offer is no good.

Any help anyone?

The seat base is the same isnt it? Just the back rest that changed with the larger bolsters and different rear panel? Easy enough to separate?

Yes seat base must be the same unless Audi are totally mad.Mind you stranger things have happened. It's a good idea if all avenues fail mark. However i'm thinking it's just a matter of time before the right seat and bits turn up,only hardship is not knowing when.

Alternatively i could source a final edition with black leather cheaply and plunder it for the bits i need and flog the rest making a nice tidy sum in the process.

But would prefer just the bits i'm after.
