Default Hmm got to find me a pre 83 ride

Selling the beetle as i'm after a something different as a daily. Insurance man today tells me its got to be 25yrs old for me to transfer the insurance so anyone got some suggestions? or even where to look?

I'm already studying every new ad on retro rides and ebay.

Thinking retro audi (not many pre 83's tho)
mk1 golf (generally too much scene tax)
Porker 924 (not sure why tho!)

what else will a grand get me?

Forget the Porka 924 fella!

I can do you a 1982 Mk2 Scirocco with little scene tax and even lest rust!!
Economical, cool and with a tickle would look a million dollars!!

Unless you wanna buy a 1979 Audi 80 LS Auto with 23k on the clock?

GWNB drives a 924, need I say more!!

The copper metallic one is the 1979 ride!

the one on the right!

lower front valance is now resparyed the correct colour.
Flew through it's last MOT, ain't been used since (but still has about 11 months on it!!)
Tax is up at the end of the month.

History file is superb!! More concise than the concise English dictionary!

It's an auto but that just means it's a lazy doddle to work and no riding the clutch!!

The interior is pretty crap but the exterior more than makes up for it!
(and it's within your budget!) and a complete brand new set of tyres!

Only down side is, it will be due it's first service soon! lol
