Default Alloy Wheel Colour

Folks,

If your car was Alpine White in colour and you wanted to respray the wheels in silver, what shade of silver would you go for?

Zermatt Silver? Or, something brighter like Audi Reflex Silver?

Doesn't have to be a silver from the VAG stable.

Very true, the world would be a dull place if we were all the same...

Respray wheels???? you do mean powder coat, I find that power coating is more durable than paint, when I went last time to get wheel power coated I was asked what colour of silver, the guy could see I had a puzzled look on my face, he explained he had five silvers in stock but could get others.

Gonna disagree with you both I take it you want it in powder coat? Had these done in Audi bright silver recently.

Or you could go with the colour on the S6 i had applied which was a Landrover Disco colour which matched the closest to the original Audi colour of Z17 at the refurber i use.

Different light so may look a little different but same colour obviously.

Hope that helps but each to their own as they say.

Thanks chaps.

I am looking a re-spraying.

I thought of Zermatt silver as a personal homage to my old B2, but I think Sinbin5t has a point in that Alpine White is probably best served by use of a bright silver.

I'm looking at Audi's Reflex Silver. Not a shade from the era of my C3, but it seems quite bright, unless of course anyone knows of a bright silver from that era of VAG..
