Audi quattro Ex-Works Rally Car - Live build report........!

I thought it might be good to do a report on an Ex-Works car being re-built.

We started tonight at 7.00pm!

This is an original Audi quattro S1 E2, built by Audi Sport and was used primarily for Tarmac Testing in the mid 80's. Still researching the actual rally history of the car, so I'll update you guys, as the research yields info, and the story unfolds.

Phase one. Check that we have all body panels and that they fit within the usual tolerances of an Audi Sport, Ex-Works car. The original cars, such as this, were never the best of fit, but it looks quite good so far.

You can see doors, wings and bonnet in place, next body jobs are to re-fit the front spoiler, lower front wing-extension sections and the infamous rear triple deck wing!

We have no time constraints, but it would be great to get her up and running soon.
