Don't know about anyone else but l've never called my a car a she a nick name or anything like that, to me it's a car, l've called all sorts of 4 letter words from time to time but that's about it.

So time to confess do you have a nickname for your car or give it a gender????

I do have a smirk when people say or isn't she nice she's only done 50k miles and she's only had one owner!! Am quietly thinking Howay man it's a bloody car lol!! But I do confess my S2 is called Black Beauty

I generally call the 200 'the old bus', my dad refers to it as 'the hearse' and some of my friends back home refer to it as 'the beast'. I will sometimes refer to the old bus as 'she' but I think I do this purely because it's a general thing people say and have always said. It's funny how people refer to cars as 'she', is it because the older they get the more they break our balls?!

I don't understand calling a car "the old bus", ok if it's a pile for sure, otherwise it's whatever it is.

I guess,.....it becomes a she if you've lavished loads of time and money on it and done the work
yourself when your in front of it and talking to an enthusiast at a show.

Ah, I think it's just an affectionate term really, I don't actually have a reason for calling it 'the old bus', maybe because it's a big old thing? We tend to get fond of these old cars after a bit don't we?

So sometimes a girl but sometimes a boy.

Never referred to any of mine as a he or she. Modern cars get call 'the cab' or the 'A5' but the Cq gets called 'the quattie' or by my wife 'the money pit' lol
