Some key attributes we would look for of any service crew member would be :- The ability to remember to bring vital equipment from their hotel room.. Have the skills to wire up spot lights at first attempt... Finish a job once started Know when to shut the ufck up.. know when not to take the pi55 out of anothers missfortune.. So if you feel you can do these things then maybe one day...one day We are a small team...a happy team...we aim to please...to win the crowd! |

Could we do a Donauring event here?
Crickey, you go away for a week and look what happens
While everyones whipped up into a frenzy of quattro action and would love to try there hand, why don't I suggest we do something about it here, in this country. Yes , right I will then, emmm. Ok, why not have a quattro fest, attttt, lets say Oulton park. Lets stage the biggest quattro event, ever for quattro enthusiasts, the stars are the cars, genuine cars, recreations, road cars, and projectseveryone welcome, to have a good time. A full weekend of action on and off the track, rally circuit as well. This could probably be sponsored by the quattro owners club. What a weekend, in 2000 QOC had a fantastic turnout at the ALMs and the castle comb rally day, I recon we could top this with a one off event, dedicated to us as a one off. Could we do a Donauring event here? I would love to see a quattro action weekend |

I'd happily help to organise a UK based event. Rallyday and chatsworth seem to be the only real major events for this country. Maybe it should include as many 80's rallycars and road models as possible?
Definately needs a few ideas throwing around though.

How about a 'stand-alone' event somewhere rather iconic to rally quattros in the UK, maybe one of the old 'SS's' from the 80's like Clumber Park....?
(Assuming they'd have us!)

Good shout Jay. Especially the ''as many 80's road models as possiblr''. It might shame Audi into realising they have a heritage and there are enthusiasts trying to keep Audi's history on the roads. Even if they aren't bothered.

Great Thread!! Really enjoyed reading and looking at the pics/vids. Does make me a little sad though knowing that we have nice cars still being built but they just dont make them like they used to.
Keep up the good work, all involved. |
