The world has gone mad
What sort of a world do we live in where an old 1.6 Escort costs more than an Aston Martin??
(or a UR quattro for that matter) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202721178035 |

To tell the truth, I do quite like that shape Escort, a red XR3 of same vintage would more than do the trick for me. I also quite like MK1 XR2.

I've never had a Mk3 Escort but wouldn't say no to an XR3/3i either. |

We had its sucessor the all white RS Turbo 'c' reg back in the late 80's , nice but very heavy steering when parking but my missus loved it (it replaced her 2nd MG metro turbo). It went missing one night whilst we were in Bradfords main library for 20 mins so we replaced it with a B3 coupe quattro much nicer to drive and less torque steer !
But today I know which would be worth the most ! |

Yikes!
But then again, you have to compare a 1,918 mile timewarp condition Escort with a 1,918 miles timewarp condition Aston... I think the Aston would still come out more expensive! |

My first car was a Fiat 131 Mirafiori (not super, or TC sadly, I was only 17 and it cost me £240!)
They are worth a fortune now, because they all rotted. |
