Default W6DO spark plug?

Hi all,

What the heck is a Bosch W6DO spark plug, I can’t seem to find one anywhere?

I’m going through the car at the moment and gonna give it a good service, I’ve always used Bosch WR7DC+, but looking in the handbook it should have W6DO plugs, anyone heard of them?

The book says the up to 55kw should have Bosch W7DC, 66kw and above should have W6DO.

Am I right in thinking the number refers to the heat range of the plug?

Would a Bosch W6DC be the modern equivalent?

The car has always run well, but the idle has never been amazingly smooth, I’m just wondering if this could be the culprit?

All the best,

Simon

Are you sure it's not a W6 DCO ?

What's your engine code on your 80 ?

101 000 006 AB is the longlife W6 DCO plug up to chassis 81-F-220000. F chassis is 1985

You can also use W7 DTC

Hi there,

It’s the 66kw/90hp 1781cc DS engine... the handbook specifically says W6DO, but I can’t find it for love nor money!

Possibly a print error or a naming change.

DS engine uses either the W6 DCO / Beru 14-6DUO up to 1985 or W7DTC / Beru 14-7DTU

NGK BP6ET is an alternative.

If it was me, I'd go for the W7DTC or the NGK as they're readily available
