It is pretty straight forward, although I’ve never done a belt before!
I do all my own maintenance. I always left this for a mechanic. I followed the basic rules of making sure all the marks line up when rotating the engine by hand several times and then dismantled and now rebuilding making sure the markers are still in line. So if I have not fecked something up should be ok, still nervous though as I over think things far too much!

Only think I’m not sure about is how to get the bolt to 450nm without a torque wrench?

A big bar, heaved as hard as you can in a manly way worked for me.
Unless you’ve got a torque wrench that’s for a lorry or 3/4 drive you’ll never get there

My brother in law works for London Underground, and i used a torque wrench used on their trains....

The VAG tool uses a multiplier, so a "standard" torque wrench is used. ?tool 2079? ?2084?

Made my own great job off and on again with no issue 50x50 box section with a notch cut in simple cheap and it works
