Coupe rear light connector block

My offside rear lights are suffering from water ingress and rust on the connectors. I’ve previously been able to clean them up and get them working 100% again.

The problem I have is the spade ends inside the plastic connector block on the look are corroded and causing a short. I’ve tried splitting it but don’t want to break it completely.

It’s MOT time next weekend. I’d like to cut out and replace the whole block with a good one.

Anyone have one available?

I think I have one, actually I know I have one. I cut the good ones out so I'll look for them first. I have some still attached to a breaker but the bulb holder terminals were quite bad so I expect the same of the block.

Mine were bad Gee.

I ran a thin file along the terminals to clean the block. Clean up the terminals on the bulb holder, then heat them up with a soldering Iron. I then put a small blob of solder on each terminal on the bulb holder. Light are still working ok.

I don’t have a pic of the block, but the connectors were pretty rusty.

I am sure all will be good with the mot!

Hi, I had the similar thing with the B2 rear lights but a light sand blast fixed mine, the sand blasting cabinet is in the garage if you get stuck.
