Mark Hanman's (the real msh) had several, all of which he's dismantled, rebuilt, dismantled, rebuilt again, then fled to the other side of the Atlantic in a desperate attempt to abandon them....

They are a fantastic piece of machinery if working. Performance is muted in auto 3.6 form, but so quiet on the motorway. That particular car appears to have heated rear seats, too.

Cambelt service is a fair bit of money, as there's a lot of parts needed; especially if it hasn't been done in a while, which is likely given the mileage/age combination. It seems low mileage, but if the speedo is flaky, there might be more to it than just connections.
Chassis- a lot in common with the other T44 quattros, and later 100/early A6

3.6 engine is strong if it's been cared for.
There's not a lot of folk with any specific knowledge of the model, though, so if you have some mechanical ability this is probably going to pay dividends.
H reg makes it part of the first series of V8 chassis (type44). After this, they made changes to a few things (4C chassis), which seems to have introduced some serious rot issues, especially in the rear valance, despite galvanised processes.
Also, check for rot around the screen from piss-poor windscreen replacements.

UFO brakes are not cheap. HP2 brakes are a cost effective upgrade.
Auto boxes seem silky smooth if fluid is refreshed.

It's 20+ year old audi, that has been neglected to some extent. Don't pay too much. Although, the engines do seem to get pinched for kit cars, making the V8s an endangered beastie.

Cheeky sod. Although, mostly accurate. Can't wait to get on with the projects again, though.

Nice Audi V8 with low millage
But 3.6L engine is not really good for that heavy car a special with auto gearbox.
Parts is no problem to find , but genuine parts cost a lot and only Audi service available.
Second hand parts only from Germany ebay.
